Solar Installations for Brooklyn’s Flat Roof Homes

Unlike pitched, suburban roofs, Brooklyn townhomes typically have small, flat roofs, and usually share walls with adjacent buildings. For this reason, conventional solar models are a poor fit for the urban environment. That’s where we came in: we developed two unique, made in NY solar options, the Brooklyn Solar Canopy and tilt rack, to work around and elevate above these so-called challenges.

The Process of Going Solar

Solar panel installation is a turnkey business, meaning it’s the responsibility of the installer to obtain the proper permits from the City. Once permits are received, Brooklyn SolarWorks’s experienced installation team can complete a typical project in just one day with minimal disruption to your home and routine. From contract signing to tax season, we’re here every step of the way for any questions or concerns.

Cost of Going Solar in Brooklyn

Making solar work on houses in Brooklyn is a science, and there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Unfortunately, many installers in the area lack the specialization required to give an accurate estimate for flat roof solar upfront. And looking into solar panel pricing in any other area of the country, even in other parts of New York State or New Jersey, won’t give you the best idea of what your finances will look like for solar energy here – not only because pricing is more variable in the city, but also because we are one of the most incentivized solar markets in the country.
